Your first steps
- Download and install the game from the Download page.
- Create your account on the Register page (opens with the servers).
- Make your hero: pick Ditt, Jin, Penril or Phoy, and choose your outfit's colours.
- Explore, talk to the people in town and take your first quests.
- Tame your first core and bring it into battle with you.
Cores
Cores are the monsters that fight beside you. Up to three can fight at once; the rest wait in your pocket. They gain experience as they fight, and you can look after them in the CORES window (key T).
Mixing
At a Mix Builder you can combine two cores into a new one. The cores you put in decide what comes out - some mixes follow recipes, others are for you to discover.
Synergy
Synergy potions give a piece of equipment a race. While you wear it, your fighting cores of that race and level band share the item's strength. One item can carry several races.
Power up your gear
| Star Up | Visit a Blacksmith to raise your equipment's stars, up to 15. Every star raises all of the item's numbers. Higher stars can fail - a Star Up Guard protects your item. |

| Blessed Chisel | Adds one bonus line to a piece of equipment (always works). One chisel line per item. |
| Blessed Tear Star | Makes the chisel line one step stronger, up to 10 steps (always works). |
| Item tiers | Equipment comes in six tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic. |
To use a chisel or a Tear Star: double-click it, then click the item (in your bag or worn).
